The municipal water company of Xàbia, Amjasa, it has completed the pipe repair works and partial reconstruction of the Gorgos retaining wall and with this, it allows the reopening of a road that has been closed to traffic for years. The work has been carried out by the company Pavasal and has involved an investment of 121.539 euros.
With the works, security has been restored to a sensitive section of the water network, since the wall that supported what is one of the main pipelines to the urban area since the desalination plant had been progressively deteriorating with the landslides caused by the flooding of the river. Gorgos from 2007 until the stormy Gloria left the pipe in the air.
The project, in addition to its own repair in the supply network and various irrigation pipes, has consisted in the construction and concreting of a 45 linear meter section of the retaining wall of the Gorgos river, which has restored security. necessary to become passable again. A wooden covered protection railing has also been installed to improve landscape integration.
