Maria João is the most acclaimed singer in the Portuguese jazz scene, with a unique style and a voice recognized worldwide. With more than two dozen albums released, the singer continually practice the challenge of mixing different styles of music.
With the Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos (OJM), presents a repertory showing four musical worlds: classics of the American songbook, some songs from Brazilian folk, jazz and world music, and pop music (such as the arrangement of the OJM for Bruce Springsteen theme 'Dancing in the dark').
