At the 75 years of age, José Salines, who was president of the Club Náutico Jávea During his age, he died after suffering a traffic accident. Salines was in charge of the Club for 16 years, from 1990 to 2006. Salines was the president with more years in charge of the entire history of the Club Nautico de Javea.
According to the information published from the CN Jávea, José entered the Nautical Club family at 1981, and was at 1990 when he rose to the position of president and promoted the Sailing School and introduced young people to the practice of water sports.
In addition, Salines initiated a collaboration with the Javea Town Hall, which has been maintained since then, and which allows all schoolchildren in the municipality to get closer and get to know the world of sailing through the Interscholastic League.
