The water treatment that makes Xàbia interested in Brazil. A group of experts in water projects has traveled from Brazil to our town to meet the performance and characteristics of the desalination plant Sènia Vella. The visit is part of a tour organized by the World Bank that seeks to understand the experiences of successful management, treatment, urban water supply and water reuse systems in Spain.
After ten days of travel, the Brazilian delegation was at the drinking water complex of Xàbia together with Josep Lluis Henarejos, CEO of Amjasa, and Aingeru Zarragoitia, director of the plant. The latter has detailed the operation of the entire system and its environmental sustainability. After the visit, the large group also wanted to know the Canal de la Fontana to know first hand the area of landfill.
The Brazilian delegation is made up of representatives of different federal institutions such as the National Water Agency, the National Department of Works Against Drought, the Ministries of Cities, National Integration or the Environment, and State institutions such as the Secretary of State. of the Environment and Water Resources of the State of Rio Grande do Norte, the State Secretariat for the Environment of Rio Grande do Sul or the Secretariat of Water Resources of the State of Ceará.
