The School of Cinema riurau Xàbia closed the year with a positive balance of progression, work within the small academy and success in the third International Short Film riurau Film Festival who knew gather a large number of participants and audiences eager to know the works presented in this new edition.
Although rain did intend to spoil the screening and awards ceremony (the sample had to be moved Sunday into the building of the conservatory), the organization was able to roll out the red carpet to present their best strippers cheerleaders and perform a show that did enjoy those present.
Thus, the jury of Vicent Buigues, the Club SETE Segell; Antonio Catalá, owner Jayán Film and Juan Bernardo Pineda de Cinema riurau-Film Dance, saw fit to award the following prizes:
- Best Short Fiction for Safari Gerardo Herrero.
- Best Dance Film for craks by Alex Pachón.
- Best Short Film in Valencian, prize aexequo, for The Valenciana by Joanber Pineda and Homenatge To Eugenio Tapis de Xàbia, directed by Anna Perles.
- Best Actor Javier Butler by Lucas Alex Montoya.
- Best Actress for Elia Galera Live Wenceslao Scyzoryk.
- Best Picture for Jose A.Vives "El Gallo" for Weather Belén Crespo.
- Best Art Direction for Uxua Castello by Bikini Óscar Bernàcer. (The audience award was also carried I could vote for their favorite short film)
- Special Jury Mention for Hero José J. Ramallo and Vasni Ramos.
The shorts The Girl of the Montañar Marta Lorenzi and Homelidays of Carmen Zaragoza were selected by the tourism department of the Town hall to be part of its website given the quality and vision of Xàbia that they transmit.
