The Triana Bridge will reopen next Friday, August 7

31 July 2020 - 15: 26

The reconstruction works of the Triana Bridge, at the mouth of the Gorgos river, enter the final stretch. The company awarded this public work has already carried out the bulk of the work - which, in addition to the demolition of the old bridge and the construction of a new one, included a redevelopment to Marina Española Avenue - and dedicates the last few days to the completion of the work.

Mayor, José Chulvi, and the Councilor for Works, Isabel Bolufer, met today with the construction management to agree on the reopening date for both pedestrian use and traffic in both directions: next Friday, August 7.

The new bridge has a single eye and is wider, in addition to having wooden sidewalks that provide pedestrian continuity to the Spanish Marina. There is also evident improvement in the pedestrian area on the bridge since it is adapted for people with reduced mobility, it has a lighted railing and protection elements on the inside.

Those of the City Council have gone to "check" that everything is fine, supervising their work, they as engineers and bridge technicians give him the go-ahead.
    I'm leaving
On the 7th the photo of the Mayor and his Bridge, what would we do without him ?, without the mayor I say.

Well, better late than never. It is a pity that the bike path has not been contemplated. And how are you going to circulate in both directions if the Avenida del Mediterráneo lane in the direction of Arenal-Puerto is cut off? Please remove that prohibition, after so many years of waiting for the new bridge… it is absurd and it only serves to complicate traffic.

Commenting on the bridge…. I've seen them faster.
