The Provincial Council of Alicante, within the line of aid to municipalities with less than 5.000 inhabitants for repairs and conservation of non-provincially owned roads, has granted the Town hall from El Poble Nou de Benitatxell a grant worth 7.500 euros for the repair, patching and clearing of the rural roads of Barranc Roig, La Roca, Valentins and La Torra.
Thanks to this action, it will be possible to adapt a total of 3,5 km of roads that are in a poor state of conservation and that give access to the owners of agricultural fields and homes in the rural areas of Barranc Roig, La Torra and Alcassar, and the residents of the Pueblo Alcassar, La Joya and La Joya- El Tossal urbanizations. In short, it is estimated that it will benefit some 692 residents and users, a fairly high number.
Line 1 of this action, with an endowment from the Provincial Council of 5.000 euros, includes simple repair work and potholes on the Camí del Barranc Roig. Line 2, with 2.500 euros, contemplates the clearing of all the mentioned roads.
