The workers of the Sports department of Xàbia have received health training to know how to react to an urgent situation. For the Councilor for Sports, Alberto TurIt is important that municipal staff know these basic concepts that can help save lives.
Therefore, last week, the personnel that perform functions in the sports areas of the town took the Basic Life Support courses and public access to semi-automatic external defibrillator. In this training, both theoretical and practical, they learned cardiopulmonary recovery techniques in children and adults, as well as how to handle defibrillators if necessary.
Tur remembers that Xàbia has three defibrillators in sports facilities, specifically in the Palau d'Esports, in the Mesquides soccer field and the Freginal sports court. All three were reviewed, updated and tuned by the technician took the course.
