The journalist, Joan Tur, will present his book "Plou on terrats Submarins", this Friday at the Public Library of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, at 20 hours on the occasion of"International Book Day"The book has 28 short stories in which each story is illustrated with the photograph of an author.
This is the first novel of this journalist who has worked in various media; Radio, press and television. In addition to co-directing the short film "W.McGregor", based on a story from this book.
The author intermingling stories in 28 irony, satire, crudeness and humor to explore the worlds we proposed disturbing, many of them immersed within us. All stories are woven by a common thread: a kaleidoscopic view of reality translated into an almost syncopated style, combining the language of the street with a stark prose sometimes poetic others. All these elements have us very near the reader and narrator brilliant characters, cinematic air that defy convention.
Joan Tur introduces in some moments the use of unreal and magical elements in the narration with total naturalness and verisimilitude. However, short stories open the way for the reader to enjoy what they read and be in turn participate. The reader is a fundamental part of the story and his imagination too. For this reason, sometimes the narrator will appeal directly to whoever is reading the book looking for complicity.
Each story is accompanied by a photograph that captures the spirit of it and is not intended to have a descriptive air.
