Xàbia Local Police reports that on Sunday, August 30, are scheduled traffic courts due to the passage of the Tour of Spain.
Cyclists are expected to enter the town between 16'30 and 17'30 hours from the national road and pass along Avenida Palmela, road Pla (where there is an intermediate sprint), The Hague street, roundabout camí Cabanes and by Travessia Cansalades address to Benitachell where step ends in the top of Puig Llorença. Entire route will be closed to traffic from the 16 hours.
Police ask from civic collaboration and remind alternative ways to move from the village to Duanes and Arenal, as Juan Carlos I and Muntanyar, or from overseas developments to Arenal.
Also recommend to tourists who plan to leave Xàbia to return home after the holidays to plan the route before or after the passage of the Tour. As for fans who want to see the passage of cyclists are advised to come on foot and with enough time in advance.
Xàbia Police has prepared a special operation to ensure security in this great sporting event with the participation 17 agents and have the cooperation of Civil Protection and the Cycling Club of Xàbia.
