Just two days before the start of the sixth edition of the Montgorock Xàbia Festival. On 11 and 12 days in May, Xàbia will be filled with a rock atmosphere and next to it, there will be a great tourist and social impact.
As a novelty, and in the absence of 48 hours for the start of the festival, the promoters of the Montgorock Festival, Josan Serrano and Mari Cruz Gisbert, together with the Mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi have announced the latest news of this edition. And is that, in addition to collaborating for the second year, with the Association of Autism Jávea, the Montgorock joins the movement to fight against the abuse of women, No means no.
This motto will be the protagonist in one of the stages of the Festival, "will be on the crossbar of one of the scenarios as a reason for awareness"said Josan. In addition, at the entrance of the site, the Department of Equality and the Association Xàbia Sense MursThey will install a purple dot and form a feminist brigade to inform, raise awareness and prevent possible situations of abuse against women.
City Council Support
In the official presentation of this musical event, which every year shows its consolidation, the mayor of Xàbia showed the support from the consistory to this festival, "which has become a must for national rock fans". Chulvi indicated that this event demonstrates the great tourist impact that falls on the town as both hotels, campsites and tourist rentals show their high occupancy data for this weekend. According to the organization, the 95% of the tickets was already sold.
Likewise, the consistory collaborates with the cession of the space for the festival, the technical advice for the authorizations or the support for security with the Local Police, Civil Protection, in addition to the reinforcement of the marketing and the diffusion from the tourism networks.
The Montgorock in the Mediterranew musix
The Montgorock has been chosen by the Generalitat Valenciana to be part of the brand Mediterranew musix, a promotional campaign in which the Valencian Tourism Agency advertises the most relevant festivals and the ability of music and culture to attract the traveler and consolidate the image of a Mediterranean destination.
Also, as already announced, the Festival participates in the campaign Responsible Festivals of the National Program for the Prevention of Drug Addictions.
Children area
The promoters of the festival recalled other peculiarities of Montgorock, such as the children's area that will be managed by the Waldorf group of Xàbia for children up to 12 who have free access. This space will have activities and a rock concert, in which the group that will perform will interpret classical songs with instruments made by them. Also, the venue will host a hippy market and food stalls food truck.
