Like every year, during the first days of August, La Plana de Xàbia celebrates its festivities in honor of the Mare de Déu dels Àngels. These family and cozy festivities continue to be the same as those of years ago, where the mass and the procession are the central events, followed by the brotherhood dinners and the festivals in a unique environment.
From the 1 day to the 3 of August, La Plana dresses up to welcome neighbors from the area and the entire town of Jávea who want to accompany the mayorales on special days. On the 1 day the ninth is celebrated at 19: 00 h. in the monastery of Mare de Déu dels Àngels, followed by the procession. On Friday, August 2, at 12: 00 h. Mass presided by His Excellency will take place. Mr. Carlos Osoro Sierra, Metropolitan Archbishop of Valencia, will later celebrate the wine of honor. The same Saturday night, the festeros and neighbors will meet in a brotherhood dinner enlivened by the orchestra "Milla and Vicent", after dinner they will make a Great Tombola among the attendees.
On Saturday the holidays conclude with Children's Day in which from the 18: 00 h. Inflatable castles and a great snack will not be missing. At night, at 22: 00 h., The Palazón car will be in charge of putting music to the "sobaquillo" brotherhood dinner. The mayorales of the festivities invite all the neighbors and visitors of Jávea to enjoy with them these holidays.
