The Ribera Group and all the representatives of the Marina Salud workers have today unanimously signed the II Collective Agreement for all the employees of the Dénia Health Department. The text will begin to be applied, after its publication in the Official Gazette of the Province, and will be valid until December 31, 2023.
The agreement, which includes significant improvements in working conditions and on the reconciliation of work and personal life, contemplates a salary increase of between 2 and 2,5%, depending on the professional category. In addition, this increase will have retroactive effect from January 1, 2022 and will be 2,5% throughout the 2023 financial year.
The II Agreement also provides for significant reductions in the working day and introduces the possibility of enjoying additional days of free disposal, depending on the seniority of each professional.
The text includes important social and conciliation improvements, such as the extension of the leave time for the care of minor children -with ages between 5 and 8 years-. It also provides for the possibility of exemption from continuing care sessions for those over 55 years of age, with compensation measures. On the other hand, the days of accumulated leave for breastfeeding are doubled for single-parent families and the possibility of reducing the working day by up to 50% is contemplated, without loss of pay, for victims of gender violence. Another improvement is the extension of the annual hourly credit for training, which goes from 20 to 28 hours.
For those responsible for the center, the approval of the Collective Agreement reinforces the foundations on which a highly comxicotetive professional project is based. According to Dr. Javier Palau, Managing Director of the Department of Health of Dénia, "we are proud to have reached this agreement, 11 months after the arrival of Ribera as the majority shareholder of Marina Salud, which translates into a notable improvement in working conditions of our professionals; which will undoubtedly improve the loyalty, development and recruitment of talent and also the commitment to the citizens of the Marina Alta”.
For his part, the People Director of the Ribera Group, Salvador Sanchís, has underlined "the will and willingness of the workers' representatives who, at a time as complex as the current one, have prioritized the interests of all professionals with the sole objective of reaching a satisfactory agreement for all professionals”.

Ribera Salud has sold the Denia Hospital to the French group Vivalto, the management concession of Ribera Salud ends in 2023, so they have not made such an effort either, they are already with one foot out, let's see what the French do next.
