The international festival «Miradas de Mujer» will also have exhibitions in Jávea

February 20 from 2014 - 00: 00

El Town hall de Jávea has adhered to the national art festival "Miradas de Mujer". Specifically, there will be three galleries participating in this initiative, the objective of which is for people to recognize the work as an artist and not only associate it with being the subject of the work. The samples will all be inaugurated on March 7 and will be, as the mayor of Culture, Empar Bolufer, included in the program of events to commemorate Women's Day.

The exhibition hall of the Soler Blasco Municipal Museum, whose curator is María Luísa Pérez, will host the exhibition "Cinc Dones, Cinc llenguatges" from the 7 to the March 30. The artists who star in this show are Amparo B. Wiendan, Pepa Espasa, María Luisa Pérez and Karina Vagradova. With different techniques such as photography or painting, each one addresses the issue of women in a different way highlighting sensuality or courage as characteristics of women.

Artefactus Espai d'Art is commissioned by the sisters Cristina and Elena Roig and will host the exhibition "X·L XIVUMX · 7 · 29" from 4 to March 2. In this exhibition, photography, painting and sculpture will express many things through trivial objects through poetic works. Her artists are Rosa Padilla, Ángeles Serna, Fanny Galera, Maite Parra, Paloma Silvestre and Simone Choulle. The theme has been left free to each artist and each one will contribute what they consider most interesting in order to give more freedom of expression to the exhibition.

Isabel Bilbao, Elena Roig and María Luisa Pérez are the curators of art galleries in Jávea in which the different samples will be exhibited

Isabel Bilbao-room Art Gallery Café d'Art, with Isabel Bilbao as curator, the exhibition "Ésa soy yo" will be exhibited from March 7 to 27. This exhibition will be carried out by María José Bagazgoitia, Carlota Cuesta, Jesusa Quirós and Paz Santos, all of them artists with a long career who, although they do not belong to any feminist group, have participated in exhibitions in which women are given visibility. As Bilbao has pointed out "the effort made by women to be in the art world and be considered is enormous and requires more level than men".

The director of "Miradas de Mujer" of the Valencian Community, Irene Ballester Buigues, has indicated that 1.300 artists participated in the festival and that more than 500 rooms distributed throughout Spain will host these exhibitions. In the Marina Alta, in addition to Jávea, the municipalities of Pedreguer and Teulada also participate in the festival. The opening will be on March 7 in the afternoon, it will begin in Soler Blasco MuseumIt will continue through Artefactus and end at Café d'Art.
