The auxiliary office of Xàbia, located in the Arenal area, has begun, this week, to provide health service and will be open until next September 5. Members of the municipal corporation, mayor, José ChulviThe Councilor for Health, Rita Berruti, as well as the Department of Health of Dénia, the manager, Luis Carretero, the Commissioner of the Department of Health, Juan Puig, the Director of Nursing, Natalia Casado and the Coordinator of Primary Care, Mª José Más, have visited this morning the summer care point.
Also present during the visit were the Chief and the Coordinator of the Basic Health Zone, María José Mulet and Begoña Moral, respectively. It should be noted that the assistance point will have uninterrupted hours from Monday to Friday, between 10:00 and 18:00. On Saturdays the opening hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 15:00 p.m.
The office, located in Avenida de París nº 18, has two health teams made up of a doctor, nursing and support staff.
The objective of setting up the auxiliary clinics is to reinforce health care in those towns of the Marina Alta with the greatest healthcare pressure during the summer months.
