The Consell dels Xiquets i Xiquetes de Xàbia has started 2020 by resuming its calendar of sessions and learning to resolve conflicts. As explained by the Department of Citizen Participation, the schoolchildren premiered the year performing dynamics in which they had to organize in groups, listen, respect the word shifts so that everyone had the opportunity to participate, give opinion and manage time, since they had it limited.
Different Consells d'Infància de la Comunitat participate in the development of this strategy. The strategy was divided into six programs and our Consell was assigned to work on the 'prevention of violence by minors'focusing on the violence exerted by minors towards their parents, filioparental and also towards their peers.
In the first session, the Consell held a debate on a hot topic such as violence by minors and they were able to launch their proposals to improve the situation. As they point out from the Department of Montse VillaverdeAfter the debate, positive conclusions were reached, such as promoting more family activities that promote a better coexistence between parents and children, since, according to their contributions, the source of education and behavior that a child acquires is fostered from the home. .
The Consell dels Xiquets i les Xiquetes maintains a constant activity throughout the course and is attending the work proposal launched by the Generalitat Valenciana to create a “Valencian strategy of childhood and adolescence”. It is a plan to advance the practical application of the rights of children and adolescents of the Valencian Community.
