President Club Náutico Jávea, Arturo Miquel, informed this Saturday to the partners of the sports entity of the extension of the concession by the General Directorate of Ports of the Generalitat Valenciana. Miquel offered a comprehensive report to the members of the Club Náutico Jávea during the annual meeting. In which the agreements came unanimously from all the partners.
As explained by the president, the renewal of the concession was notified in mid-June, but it was not until July 12 when the official resolution of the general director of Ports has arrived. A resolution that grants a ten-year renewal, until June 2031.
Miquel affirmed that “this has been the work of many years of the directive and the administration, to obtain in the first place the renewal of the concession and in this last period the extension.
Miquel highlighted that the Náutico de Jávea is the Club that achieves this renewal and wanted to thank the minister, Arcadi Spain, who visited the club a year ago, and the general director of Ports, María Luisa Martínez, for their involvement and support.
From this resolution and once the summer season is over, the Jávea Yacht Club will undertake investments in the concession area that will amount to 2,5 million euros, which will be fully assumed by the Club members. The works will begin in mid-September and the initial forecast is that they will last for 6 months, and "we hope that by Easter 2022 they will already be completed," said Miquel.
The president presented the details of the renewal of the concession, which includes an increase in the canon that is paid annually to the Ministry. He also specified what the works to be executed consist of and have been authorized by the Department.
Thus, a new Sailing School will be built, pier 5 will be completely renovated and all the facilities on the remaining piers will be renovated, where access doors will be placed.
There will also be a number of minor investments in the current building of the Club Nautico de Javea and the installation of energy efficiency systems, in addition, a solar panel system will be implemented that will reduce the energy bill of the port facilities. Likewise, in the line of improving sustainability there will be a
plastics collection system by decantation inside the port.
Finally, the President of the Club has underlined the work that the Association of Nautical Clubs of the Region is doing to achieve the renewal of these concessions and that soon "we hope" that they can be carried out in other nautical clubs.
