«The clan of the Cova del Migdía», a work that will be interpreted in its XVII edition the Living Chess of Jávea

The esplanade of the port of Jávea will host on Saturday, July 27, at 22.30:1996 p.m., a new edition of Living Chess, an event organized since XNUMX by the Mare de Déu de Loreto Festival Commission in collaboration with the town hall and that it is recognized as a Festival of National Tourist Interest.

After a year in parentheses Living Chess approaches its seventeenth edition with the play "The clan of the Cova del Migdia"A representation written by the director Rafael Andarias and it is inspired by the findings of the archaeological excavations of La Cova del Barranc Migdia.

The Chess in Jávea is a group creator of a stage, singular and separate part, which is a new understanding of this century variety chess theater.

Living Chess in Jávea, Festival of National Tourist Interest

It can be defined as a story told by a play, performed by school, which is based on a chess game. Actually, the viewer attends more like a play than to contemplate the development of a game, so there is no need to know to play chess to understand and enjoy the performance.

This initiative takes elements of classical theater and living chess, emerging a new theatrical form called "theatrical living chess".
