The City Council of Xàbia will enter the Paréntesis aid to 239 local companies in the coming days

08 2021 April - 13: 32

El Javea Town Hall grants more than one million euros to local companies in Paréntesis grants. The consistory will enter, in the coming days, the Paréntesis aids to 239 companies in Xàbia that were affected by the COVID-19 restrictions. Of the 300 applications received, 239 have been accepted. The other 61 have had to be rejected for not meeting the requirements of the call.

As explained to the beneficiaries, the system of proportional allocation of these grants made it appear that the 2.000 euros of basic aid could end up being a higher amount if more expenses were properly justified.

Thus, the municipal services that have been in charge of the assessment have had to review and collate a lot of documentation provided and finally, the average has remained around 6.000 euros and there will be companies that even touch 8.000 euros in aid.

The resolution with the list of beneficiaries and the amounts assigned can be consulted on the notice board of the municipal website www.ajxabia.com

Councilman Hacienda, Ximo Segarra, has valued the work carried out by the team of public workers that has been in charge of evaluating these aid, which has reviewed a huge number of invoices and documents.

Segarra recalled that the Paréntesis aid is financed 62,5% by the Generalitat, 15% by the City Council and 22% by the Alicante Provincial Council) and has pointed out that, despite the fact that the Provincial Council has not yet entered Your contribution, the Xàbia City Council does not want to delay the payment of these aid for one more day, so it will advance the money and enter it in the coming days.

The councilor has added that Xàbia's total budget for Paréntesis aid was 1,5 million, so an attempt will be made to reinvest the remaining 500.000 euros in the next lines of aid in which the Consistory works within the Recuperem Xàbia plan, a response to the economic crisis caused by the Covid coordinated by Segarra and the councilor Montse Villaverde.
