Jávea Red Cross troops participated in the emergency device of the Vega Baja floods

Jávea Red Cross troops participated, a few weeks ago, actively, in the emergency device of the floods that affected the south of Alicante, in the Vega Baja area.

The troops attend to all the health and social needs of the population of Jávea, but the headquarters is part of the national emergency response system of the Red Cross and in this case it has been necessary to mobilize it to guarantee care for the people affected by deriving teams of volunteers consisting of Sanitary Emergency Technicians, logists, psychologists, aquatic lifeguards, as well as members of the youth area to participate in the toy libraries for children who are currently staying in shelters.

The members of Xàbia spent 24 hours attending to the needs and working in the shelters as well as intervening in the street in assistance to vehicles that were trapped in flood areas.
