The new data provided by the Ministry of Health on the evolution of coronavirus infections detected through PCR tests show an increase in positive cases in the Marina Alta region.
The Dénia Health Department has added 70 new cases since last Tuesday's update in which 44 infections were registered. With this figure, the Marina Alta accumulates a total of 2.045 infections since last March, with 171 cases registered in the last two weeks. This data places the cumulative incidence at 99,57 infections per 100.000 inhabitants.
The good news is that in this update, the region does not register new deaths due to the coronavirus, so the number of deaths remains at 37.
By municipalities, Xàbia has registered 13 new cases in the last 4 days, which brings to 250 the number of people, residents of this town, who have been infected. Of the total, 27 correspond to the last 14 days.
The other population that has also suffered a considerable increase in positives, being the municipality of the region that has registered the most in this update is Dénia, with 21 new cases.
In addition, the municipalities of the region that have added new cases of coronavirus since Tuesday are Xaló 1, Els Poblets 1, El Verger 4, Gata de Gorgos 5, Ondara 3, Pedreguer 7, Pego 3, Teulada 3, Calp 8, Llíber 1.
