This Friday, June 7, the International Archives Day is celebrated and on the occasion of this anniversary, Xàbia has organized a day of guided visits to the facilities of the recently inaugurated Municipal file. From 9 a.m. to 14 p.m. and from 16 p.m. to 20 p.m., those who wish can go to carrer d'Avall, 39 and learn first-hand the history of Xàbia.
In the afternoon, the celebration will close with a conference given by the neighbor of the town and first Mayor of Xàbia after the Francoist stage, Enrique Bas Espinós. Bas will talk about the experiences of Antoni Armell Lon during the Civil War. Armell was a neighbor of Xàbia, republican, who saved part of the local heritage and was imprisoned.
