Agents of the National Police have arrested the six leaders of a criminal organization for the sale and forgery of items in the eastern area. This action was the result of the second phase of an investigation carried out by agents of the judicial police brigade of the National Police belonging to the Dénia and Benidorm police stations.
In the first phase of the operation, the judicial police groups of the National Police Denia and Benidorm registered five industrial warehouses in Manises (Valencia) and seized more than 200.000 counterfeit effects valued at more than 4.000.000 euros and proceeded to arrest 45 people.
This second phase of the investigation comes from the research gathered in the first phase, focused more on the investigation of the people who were behind the corporate and mercantile frameworks, these being the engines of this type of crime and last recipients of the profit that it produces.
The investigations carried out led agents to locate six establishments in the town of Crevillente, where they allegedly sold counterfeit goods. Once the pertinent records were produced in each of the premises, the police seized more than 23.000 counterfeit effects valued at more than 2.000.000 euros according to experts of the brands that accompanied the agents, a textile thermal press for industrial use with logos of a multitude of well-known brands, also detaining the presumed six leaders of the organization.
The detainees, three men and three women, all of Chinese nationality with ages between the 31 and the 46 years of age were placed at the disposition of the Court in Functions of Guardia of Benidorm.
The investigation has concluded with the arrest of 51 people, seizing more than 223.000 counterfeit effects and all for a value higher than the 6.000.000 euros.
