Xàbia has registered a decrease in the accumulated incidence of the coronavirus according to the update offered today by the Ministry of Health. The new data on the evolution of the pandemic in the localities places Xàbia below a thousand infections per 100.000 inhabitants. Specifically, it is 985,36 cases per 100.000 inhabitants, undoubtedly a very high figure, but lower than that registered the previous day, which was 1.042,27 cases per 100.000 inhabitants.
In this update, Xàbia has registered 87 new positives, the same figure as in the last update, but with the difference that in these three days there is no regret for any death.
As of today, the town of Xàbia has a total of 1.061 cases since the start of the pandemic, of which 272 are active. In deaths, 6 have been the residents of Xàbia who have lost their lives due to COVID- 19.
Region data
With regard to the Marina Alta region, the numbers of new infections are still very high. In today's update, 651 new positive cases have been registered compared to 411 on the last day, which brings the total number of infections in the region since March to 7008. Thus, the incidence in the Dénia Health Department continues to exceed 1.000 cases per 100.000 inhabitants; they are 1.058,57.
The number of deaths has also been increased in this new update. There have been 9 people in the region who have lost their lives due to the coronavirus. With the new deaths, the Dénia health department registers a total of 101 deaths from COVID-19.
