The new update of data on the evolution of the coronavirus by municipalities facilitated by the Ministry of Health that includes the last 4 days, shows an equality in the data of infections with respect to the previous report. High data since 589 new positive cases are added in the Marina Alta region, compared to 587 the previous day.
With the new infections, the accumulated incidence decreases slightly, standing at 907,18 infections per 100.000 inhabitants.
To date, the region has 1.558 active cases in the region, but the total number of positives confirmed by PCR since the beginning of the pandemic is 8.184.
The other bad figure of this latest update is the death toll, in which 9 new deaths from COVID-19 have been registered in the Dénia health department. These have emerged three Benissa, two Calp and one in Dénia, El Verger, Els Poblets and Pedreguer.
Situation by municipalities
In this new update, Xàbia registers 87 new infections, which increases to 1.221 the total number of people who have contracted the virus since last March. Currently, there are 225 active cases in the town.
For its part, Dénia is once again the municipality with the highest number of cases with 152, followed by Calp with 93, Teulada 58, Benissa 50, Pedreguer 30, Ondara 28, Pego 20, Gata de Gorgos 17, Orba 13, El Verger 12, El Poble Nu de Benitatxell has 8, Beniarbeig 5, Sanet y Negrals 4, Els Poblets 2, Murla 2, Llíber 2, Vall d'Ebo 1, Vall de Laguar 1, Benimeli 1, Ràfol d'Almúnia 1, Benidoleig 1, Benigembla 1, Xaló 1 and Senija 1.
