They denounce the installation of an illegal camping site for caravans in Xàbia

13 March 2024 - 12: 51

Xàbia is prohibited from spending the night with houses on public roads. The council has restricted the areas where they parked and stayed overnight without being allowed. It is only possible in campsites. Faced with this situation, there are those who reinvent businesses and now the problem is moving to rural residential areas.

The residents of the Los Cerezos Urbanization with Alborada de Xàbia have made a complaint about the installation of an illegal campsite on a plot of this residential area. According to the neighbors, "for months there has been a large influx of motorhomes on the narrow street of Lago Eire. At first we saw one or two, and we thought they were relatives, but there are more every day, reaching almost a dozen each day.

A neighbor states that the hustle and bustle of these bulky vehicles makes the circulation and passage of resident vehicles difficult, "if normally two cars no longer fit and you have to maneuver, this is compounded by the difficulty of a caravan." But this is not the only reason for complaint. Neighbors insist that in the evening they hear "commotion."

There have been several complaints that have been presented to the Town hall on the part of the community of residents, both collectively and individually, "in fact we notified the Police, but at the moment the caravan park has not been closed. “Motorhomes arrive every day even though we have observed that the owner has withdrawn part of the online advertising, but continues to advertise the service on other platforms.”

The inhabitants of this urbanization assure that the plot intended for the use of caravan parking is without a license, "we know that the house on the land is rented and it is the tenant who has taken advantage of the remaining land to do this business. In addition, in the advertisements it offers all kinds of services.

From the City Council, municipal sources indicate that the Local Police went to the plot and drew up a report of the presence of caravans, transferring the file to the Activities area. This department has continued with the processing and has given a hearing to the owner to present the allegations that he considers. At the moment, the file is pending.

Poor Camping 'who are losing their customer base..
The overnight stay, as long as no camping element is deployed, such as awnings, table and chairs, is completely legal... in case of a fine, recourse to singing.
The motorhome is a housing vehicle and as such, it gives the option of making “life” within it…
It smells a little like the interest of the Campings, who see their business in danger due to abusive prices.
Let's be Europe for everything. Not only for what interests you...
    This is called EVOLUTION!!

The problem with the illegal Motor Home Park is the entrance of los Cerzos, which is very narrow, last week a resident was FORCED to reverse out onto Care Benitschell, a main road, very scary and very dangerous. This has to be stopped, PERMANENTLY.
And what are they doing with their waste products?.
The Council should move quickly to PERMANENTLY close this ILLEGAL

You buy a Camper to end up in a vacant lot without adequate services.
