Dozens of residents of Xàbia denounce the presence of chickens in a residential area

January 24 from 2022 - 11: 18

A dozen chickens roam freely in a residential area of Xàbia. The cackling, the dirt and its passage through the street, which can cause an accident, are the daily nuisances that dozens of neighbors have experienced for months.

These animals, although they supposedly belong to a house, are found in an open plot in the urban center of the town. The birds are in the vicinity of Plaza Montserrat Caballé, between Avinguda del Botànic Cabanilles and Carrer de Raimon.

"The hens and the roosters begin to sing and crow at any time of the day, causing great annoyance during the night and early morning, without letting the neighborhood rest," indicates the owner of a house in the area. The neighbor adds that in addition, being in the middle of a public road, they cause great braking of the vehicles that circulate along this road.

Residents of the area claim to have transferred the complaint and discomfort to the public administration in order to put an end to this problem. But the problem is aggravated since "the alleged owner" of the chickens is a squat.

From the Department of Services we are informed that through the coexistence ordinance, the inspector has prepared a report and has been transferred to the Local Police. Likewise, the owner of the house has been notified of the removal of these animals, but being a house squatted processing is delayed. Even so, from the consistory they assure that they are working to end this problem as soon as possible.

As a neighbor it is unfortunate to have to live with this situation.

Hopefully the squatter will be able to leave the occupied house. They have brought mistreatment of women, dealings and not allowing the neighborhood to rest in a quiet area.

Unfortunately, until now the council looks the other way.

  2. Ana says:

I've already called the police twice and supposedly they were in charge of calling Seprona to pick them up... well, we already know what work they do and what they care about the animals. Until they get run over... that will be their sad end.

Yes sir, a real chicken coop. Let's wait a few months because "The con ceja.lia is working..." ha ha ha, the usual phrase.
Come on CHUlvi, a photo, like the one you send to tell us you're sick. Even for that you have time…and PHOTO!!!!

  4. Juanvi says:

I live in the neighborhood where it is happening, I see them every day when I leave and arrive at my house.
It is quite bizarre being right next to residential areas
It is not that it bothers, it bothers the eye, but there are worse things and with more need, such as the paving of all the streets and accesses to houses in the areas of Jávea
It bothers me much more that a neighbor feeds all the cats that are in that same area, because there are several dozen and they proliferate... the eggs I suppose will be eaten by the owner of the chickens!
However, each element must go to its corresponding place and the people and animals that are occupying land that is not their property must be regularized.

    Chulvi, what class, huh?
In Fitur I imagine that you would show off Jávea as a luxury place, right?
Bravo Chulvi, without a doubt the best.

Note: Hopefully soon we will make a statuette, real size, with his little jacket and his little shoes.
A costing, so that the balls are portrayed, hopefully!…

  6. Josetra says:

The squatters have a letter of marque, they do what they want and easily, if they were a legal resident who pays their taxes, they would already be fined and screwed, today's Spain, the world upside down...

  7. pep says:

They have the right. I prefer chickens to many human beings from Valencia, with all-terrain vehicles, who come to spend the weekend.

    • Vecino says:

Right to take care of your house and leave it all a chicken coop, I mean a disaster.
Pray that it never happens to you.

      • pep says:

My comment does not contain any reference to the illegal occupation, although I understand that the chickens are a consequence "of".
I am absolutely against illegal occupation, but let us remember that there are squatters who cause great damage to the owner and circumvent the law, but there are also very peaceful people who do not harm anyone by occupying abandoned places. In any case, the chickens are not to blame.
I pray and you pray, because in the next life you will not be a hen or any being that has to suffer unjust suffering.
«That is» is written separately, Todo por la lengua.
        Greetings,

      Human people?

      • pep says:

There is also the "legal person". I know perfectly what I write and I take the license to be somewhat ironic. Lately there is a lot of tacky in Jávea. Those of us who have known her for many years, notice the difference. It has become fashionable and you have to be in Jávea…

  8. Luis says:

And they can't remove them themselves? If they are walking down the street, let them be caught, they are just chickens.

  9. Vecino says:

The headline would be "Jávea a real chicken coop" haha
