This past Sunday, dozens of volunteers joined to clean the Xàbia beaches. From early in the morning, the seven points called for cleaning the coastline brought together a large number of people, of all ages, to remove the large amount of waste that the sea took to the beach with the storm Gloria does something else two weeks.
Different voluntary groups collaborated to this initiative (Xàbia net between tots, Jávea. I want you clean, Xàbia in movimient and Xàbia for future), municipal staff and residents of the area with the sole purpose of increasing the coves and enjoying its beauty without waste.
Reeds, tree trunks, plastics, corks, poriespan, common cork, microplastics, boards, water pipes, planks, shoes, sanitary napkins and ear sticks were the large amount of waste that was collected.
From the groups they thank the department of services for facilitating the bags and summoning this macro cleaning, and the Red Cross and Civil Protection for facilitating the work of collecting the bags with a zodiac so as not to have to raise them to the top of the coves.
