Since the health crisis related to COVID-19 began, the Riurau d'Arnauda has been revealed as an ideal space to host different types of cultural activities with all the security guarantees.
To improve its comforts and further increase its possibilities as an endowment for public use, the Department of Culture, in coordination with the Department of Works, will commission the drafting of a comprehensive project that includes several interventions that would respond to problems or deficiencies detected with the aim of having them designed, budgeted and scheduled.
As the councilor advances Quico Moragues, This plan would include the construction of toilets, the embedding of the interior of the riurau, the improvement of the lighting of the enclosure, the provision of a drainage system for rainwater or runoff and the construction of a small stage outside.
Moragues explains that the idea is that each intervention is budgeted individually and thus be able to bid for them separately based on the available budget availability.
The councilor has valued the riurau as a cultural and leisure space in the open air. In fact, it has been hosting concerts, meetings and festivals for years. A use that has grown since the health crisis due to its capacity control and being outdoors.
