In anticipation of high temperatures these days, Red Cross rescuers are preparing to attend to possible cases of heat stroke, a common situation in the summer days, but this year changes its protocol in the face of the pandemic situation due to the COVID-19.
To this end, Red Cross personnel have carried out a simulation in which a patient suffered cardiorespiratory arrest, with the possibility of being infected with coronavirus. In practice, first responders have put on protective equipment, have set up a mobile tent as a protection measure and safety distance and have provided ambulance access and placed the patient in a straight line from the walk.
Undoubtedly, all the measures and protocols to be followed in the event that such a situation arises during the summer days when temperatures rise significantly.
