Since starting the summer season the Red Cross Assembly Xàbia has a defibrillator in each of the five fixed positions along all beaches. Equipment that also extends to the four ambulances owned and two reinforcing summer.
President of the local assembly, José Luís Domenech has said that although it has been made public now, these defibrillators are aid stations every beach, from the beginning of the summer campaign. Domenech has stated that "We do not have had to make use of them".
The ambulance fleet has been increased with the release of a fully equipped vehicle that has been funded by the own local Assembly. The new ambulance has had a price of 60.000 euros. They have enjoyed the cooperation of several entities of residents, led by Sandy Tsalikidis, who have contributed 7.000 euros, which have served to pay all the technical equipment of the vehicle.
José Luis Domenech said that "the ambulance has the latest that has been on medical supplies. Outwardly it is different because the lights are integrated and gives a more modern and futuristic line".
