Around 21 pm there has been a serious traffic accident on the CV 734 road that connects the towns of Xàbia with Gata de Gorgos. The accident has occurred in the area known as the base of rialla, municipality of Xàbia, between the roundabout that gives access to the industrial estate and the one that gives access to Poble Nou de Benitatxell.
The traffic accident occurred when the vehicle left the track, leaving the car overturned on one of the sides with three trapped inside. Four people from the same family were traveling in the vehicle. As a result of the accident, a woman (the mother), 4 years old, has died, two occupants have been seriously injured and one slightly, the injured have been transferred to the Dénia hospital. According to reports from the CICU, the seriously injured, a 55-year-old woman and a man had multiple trauma, while the 35-year-old was treated for polyconusions.
Minutes after the event occurred, the Local Police of Xàbia has reported the cut in circulation in both directions of the road, which has remained for an hour and a half, reopening the road around 22:30 p.m.
Local Police, Civil Guard, an SVB Red Cross ambulance, two SAMU units and two Basic Life Support ambulances have attended the scene of the event. Firefighters from the Dénia Park have also attended with a command unit of headquarters, a heavy urban bomb, a various rescue van, a sergeant, a corporal and five firefighters, who have had to release the wounded from inside the vehicle. The Civil Guard is the one who instructs proceedings and opens an investigation of what happened, since at the moment the causes that have caused this event are unknown.
