The Valencian Society for Comprehensive Emergency Management (SGISE) has convened an urgent temporary employment exchange to cover the immediate needs of the Generalitat's Forest Fire Service during the summer campaign and attend to possible casualties and vacancies that may occur in the coming months. .
The Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) published last Friday, July 31, the announcement of this temporary employment exchange for the category of forest firefighters through which it is planned to immediately cover more than 30 positions.
Applicants interested in participating in this public employment process have five calendar days from the day following their publication in the DOGV to register on the exchange using the form they will find on the web (www.bolsaurgentebbff.sgise.es) .
This urgent bag, which is the first called by the SGISE since the Forest Fire Service took over in April 2019, will have a maximum validity of one year and will serve to provisionally cover the jobs until the positions can be filled at through a public offer of employment.
The exchange will have a single definitive list made up of 500 applicants who previously will have had to prove their training and the evaluable merits according to the criteria contemplated in the bases of the temporary employment exchange.
A selection commission made up of four members, one from the Valencian Society for Comprehensive Emergency Management with voice but without vote and three appointed from the staff of the Generalitat and its instrumental public sector, or from other public administrations that occupy positions with requirements of Training or similar functions to the summoned positions will be in charge of evaluating the requirements and merits of this call.
The people proposed for the hiring will be able to carry out the exercise of their functions in any of the forest fire stations of the Valencian Community.
Forest Firefighters of the Generalitat
The Forest Fire Service has 850 professionals distributed throughout the Valencian Community for the summer campaign, ready to act in the event of any fire declared in forest land. The Forest Firefighters of the Generalitat are organized in 62 units, of which 56 are terrestrial and 6 heli-transported.
It should be remembered that for the 2020 forest fire campaign, which will run this year until November 16, the Generalitat has 45 fire engines, 9 helicopters (2 for coordination and 7 for extinction) and 9 aircraft (7 for ground and 2 amphibians).
