The contagion data of the weekend shoots up the number of positives in the Marina Alta region. Until now, hardly any isolated case was registered in any population of the Marina Alta, but after this weekend, Health confirms that there have been a total of five PCR positives.
These infections have occurred in four different populations, one case in Teulada, Dénia and El Poble Nou in Benitatxell and two infections in Calp, which totals three cases in the last 15 days.
Even so, the Department of Health of Dénia continues to be one of the least affected by COVID-19, according to the data provided by the Ministry of Health, accumulating 206 positives, to date, since the pandemic began and 19 deceased, a figure that has been maintained since last April.
As for the positive from Dénia, it seems that it corresponds to a resident of this town, who is a worker at the Santa Llúcia Municipal Residence for the elderly. According to a statement issued by the Town hall, since the positive was known yesterday, the security protocol was activated and the residents were isolated, who have begun to do the PCR tests.
