About a thousand children have enjoyed the storytelling season of the Library of Xàbia

04 June 2018 - 15: 22

Last Friday, the Storytelling season of the Xàbia Public Library closed. An event that throughout this course, in which 27 stories have been interpreted, has brought together about a thousand children.

The closing of the season was in the Plaza de la Iglesia with the special show The circus where small and large have fun with the performance.

This cycle is held from October to May by appointment every Friday alternately between the Duanes Library and the Sala del Soler Blasco Museum, thus giving an incentive to the little ones to learn to enjoy the stories that the books hide.

In addition, the Public Library, to promote reading, also offers Thursdays weekly sessions of the children's reading club for children from 3 years (accompanied by their parents) and has arranged with the schools of the municipality visits to the reading room Children's Library to attend
Storyteller Likewise, there is also a reading club for adults that meets every month to discuss and comment on recommended books.

In Arenal, which is also Xàbia to collect contributions, where many families also live and the largest school center in the term is located, there is NOT even a book loan point. We don't even talk about a small library ... after the EDUSI not granted, with half a million now in Social Services, more than a million from the municipal budget for parties, a new sports hall, etc, etc ... Doesn't the money come for a minimal cultural space , to paint and new networks in Avda. Paris? In Xàbia Histórica there are half a dozen, from the museum itself and its assembly hall, to the Library, the cultural and monjove center, the Casa Tena, soon the old Cinema, (of the Auditorium, better not to speak), in addition to the space where it located the old headquarters of the Local Police. In Duanes, from a modern Library to the Casa del Cable Exhibition Hall. Nothing in Arenal except unrepaired sports courts and the back of the Plá Tourist Office. A ghetto provoked from the City Council itself.
