The next January 26 will be a big day for the regional trade with the arrival in Dénia of a new Carrefour center. The French multinational arrives at the capital of the Marina Alta with a strong commitment to the local product and fresh and full of "humility and illusion".
The center will be located in the warehouse of the industrial estate in which, until now, the Eroski store was located. This week, work has begun on adapting the hypermarket that will change both the physical aspect and the commercial and service offer of the new establishment.
The center, with a staff of 44 people and 4.964 m2 of the sales room, will maintain the employment of the 44 people that make up the staff of the hypermarket. In addition, Carrefour will carry out new contracts with 41 to reinforce the service in boxes, replenishment, assisted sales in fish, butchery and pastry / bakery, and sections such as toys, electronics, electrical appliances and textiles.
All employees of the center will receive an average of 50 hours of specific training per person on the performance of each job and computer management tools as well as prevention, food handling, customer service or environmental savings.
Agreement with the fish market
One of Carrefour's flagship products in Dénia will be fresh fish, which they will get thanks to the agreement reached with the fish market, which allows them to purchase their products every evening at the auction.
Carrefour, which is present in the Valencian Community from 1976, has 23 Carrefour hypermarkets, seven Carrefour Market supermarkets, 52 Carrefour Express and online commerce in the community. In Denia, the hypermarket of Madrigueres will be the first of the chain in the town of Alicante, although it already has nine hypermarkets, four supermarkets in the province Carrefour Market and 33 Crossroads Express.
