The Institut Valencià de la Joventut (IVAJ) opens the registration in the 2019 summer camps for teenagers and young people between 12 and 17 years, with 17 educational and inclusive leisure proposals, which take place in the hostels of the Comunitat Valenciana de Biar, Benicarló, Benicàssim and Piles and other autonomous communities, within the program Viu l'Estiu.
The camps, in order to promote participation and the exchange of experiences and to maximize the spaces for meeting and debate, offer three editions of Summer Camp Biar, two editions of the new proposal Ramonets Camp'N'Roll in Biar and two of nautical activities with English in Benicàssim, English and Sailing, as well as 10 youth exchange camps in collaboration with the autonomous communities of Navarra, Aragón, Castilla-La Mancha and Cantabria.
The exchange camps include five leisure and nautical activities in Benicàssim, Benicarló and Piles and five multi-adventure camps, nature, free time and cinema in Donetztebe, Alquézar, El Pueyo de Jaca, Ossa de Montiel and Solorzano.
The IVAJ establishes two types of participation: One for all municipalities, associations, councils and the rest of local entities of the Valencian Community that want to manage the participation of young people, within their territorial scope, in the activities of the Summer Camp program. The second modality is offered for young people from 12 to 17 years.
Camps calendar
The 17 camps include three editions of Summer Camp Biar in the youth hostel of Biar, for young people from 12 to 14 years, from 23 from June to 30 from June and from 14 to 21 from July and from 21 to 28 from July. Two editions of the new proposal are also offered at the Biar hostel Ramonets Camp'N'Roll, from 30 from June to 6 from July for young people from 12 to 14 years, and from 7 to 13 from July for young people from 15 to 17 years
Two camps have been organized at the Benicàssim shelter in Argentina English and Sailing, from 30 from June to 7 from July for young people from 12 to 14 years and from 7 to 14 from July for young people from 15 to 17 years.
For participants of 14 17 years There are ten proposals: Three editions of the Camp in Benicàssim for free time, with nautical activities from 2 to 11 in July, from 12 to 21 in July and from 16 to 25 in July; the camp in Navarra of nature and multi-adventure, in the youth refuge Belbieretxea in Doneztebe, from the 1 to the 10 in July, and the camp in Benicarló, in the Sant Crist del Mar hostel for free time and nautical activities, from the 2 to the 11 in July .
The multi-adventure camp in Aragón, at the Quinta Vista Alegre youth hostel in El Pueyo de Jaca, Huesca, is developed from the 1 to the 10 in July.
From the 11 to the 20 in July, there is a camp in Piles of nautical activities and free time at the Mar i Vent youth hostel; the multi-adventure camp in Castilla-La Mancha in the Alonso Quijano youth hostel, in Ossa de Montiel de Albacete, and the Multiaventura camp in Aragón, in the refuge school of Alquézar in Huesca
The camp in Solorzano of cinema and free time, in the Gerardo Diego hostel in Solórzano in Cantabria, from the 17 to the 26 in July, closes the 2019 Summer Camps program.
Services offered
The summer camps of the IVAJ include a program of multi-adventure activities, free time, educational, educational and convivial leisure activities. In some, nautical activities and English are included. The duration depends on the activity chosen. Also the accommodation in youth hostels of the Valencian Community or of other autonomous communities and feeding in regime of complete pension, in which it is included the breakfast, food, snack and dinner.
Likewise, a specialized service of sociocultural animation is incorporated, in nautical and multi-adventure activities as well as the necessary material to carry out the activities and civil liability and accident insurance.
Activities in other autonomous communities include transport from Valencia, Alicante or Castellón to the hostel where they stay. In the activities that take place in the Valencian Community, the young person who participates will have to arrive by his own means to the chosen hostel.
Deadlines
The requests by municipalities and other local entities are opened from the 8 of February to the 1 of March, exclusively through the telematic procedure. In the modality for young people, applications can also be made from this Friday until the March 1, preferably by telematic procedure, or in person at the IVAJ offices in Alicante, Castellón and València or by any of the means established in the common administrative procedure.
Volunteers
In addition, the Institut Valencià de la Joventut (IVAJ) has opened the program of youth volunteer camps, within the campaign Viu la solidaritat 2019, which allows young people to volunteer in projects both in the Valencian Community, in other autonomous communities and in foreign countries in three calls: spring, summer and winter.
The purpose of Viu la Solidaritat is to facilitate young people the possibility of participating in voluntary actions that allow them to develop their commitment to society.
For the 2019 campaign three calls are established: the call A corresponds to the fields in spring, which will be made between the 19 to the 28 of April of 2019 and will have a duration of 9 calendar days; the summons B of fields in summer, which are preferably carried out in the months of July and August, will be social, archaeological restoration and related to environmental and cultural activities with a duration between 10 and 15 days. The call C, the winter fields, will be developed between the 26 of December of 2019 and the 4 of January of 2020 and will have a duration of 9 calendar days.
The registration for the spring A call will be made from the 11 to the 28 in February at the headquarters of the IVAJ on Hospital Street, 11 in Valencia and in the territorial units of the IVAJ of Alicante and Castellón,
For summer summons B the pre-registration is done from the 9 hours of the 25 of February to the 14 hours of the 5 of April of 2019 in the form published on the IVAJ website, at the following address: www.ivaj.gva.es/viu-la-solidaritat .
Subsequently, the registration, from the April 16 will be made, by order among the pre-registered people, from the number determined by the draw to be held in public act on 9 day of April of 2019, at 10.00 hours at the venue of the IVAJ (Hospital Street, 11, of Valencia). The registration can be made at the headquarters of the IVAJ of Valencia and the territorial units of the IVAJ of Alicante and Castellón, from the 16 day of April of 2019.
For the winter camps, registration will be made at the Valencia IVAJ headquarters, and in the Alicante and Castellón IVAJ territorial units, from the 11 to the 29 in November of 2019.
