Firefighters and Local Police of Xàbia rescue an injured eagle in Cap Martí

18 October 2017 - 07: 22

Thanks to a warning from a neighbor to the Local Police in Xàbia, firefighters and an amateur of the municipality in falconry rescued at noon yesterday, Tuesday, an eagle walkway and that was trapped on top of a tall pine of the Cap Martí area.

The neighbor, who gave the alarm bell said that the bird seemed to suffer some type of problem that prevented him from flying. Faced with this fact, firefighters activated the autoscale vehicle to reach the height where the eagle was. The bird had on one of the legs a large number of plastic threads that are often used in horticultural work, which made it difficult to move and prevented flying.

When removing the threads it was noticed that he had injuries so the bird retrieval center of the Generalitat was advised that throughout the afternoon he picked up the specimen to be interned until it is recovered.

From the Police of Xàbia they thank the citizen collaboration in this rescue.

As always, thank the Firefighters, the Local Police and of course! to the Civil Guard and to the National Police (although in this case they have not intervened), the services they provide throughout Spain, not only in the rescue of persons, but also in that of injured animals. THANKS TO ALL!!
