On the occasion of International Women's Day to be held next March 8, the Department of Equality has organized different activities for all citizens by involving students from all schools in Xàbia.
Under the slogan, Construïm-la, the Councilor for Equality, Montse Villaverde, together with the technician in Equality, Marta Miñana and the psychologist of the department, Eugenia Bolufer, have presented the commemorative program for Women's Day and that will take place throughout the month of March, ending the 15 in April with the Cursa de la Dona.
Villaverde explained that the slogan expresses the "Challenge that Equality, is a project and a reality that has to be built between the whole society and therefore we involve schools because children are the ones who can best transmit the values learned."
For this 2018, the centers have been in charge of making some information panels that will be installed on the 8th in the Plaza del Town hall. These posters belong to the campaign From A to Z, in those who have worked with women through history.
According to the mayor explained, the panels will be located, later, "in different areas of Xàbia creating a route".
