Amjasa will repair the collapsed retaining wall of the Gorgos River

The municipal water company, Amjasa, has put out to tender the pipe repair works and partial reconstruction of the Gorgos river retaining wall. The project, with a base budget of 162.052,61 euros (VAT included), is being processed urgently, since after the last flood of the river (at the end of January) there was a landslide that left a section in the air of the pipes.

It is a 500 mm pipe, which is part of the main supply network from the desalination plant to the town center and therefore, of great importance for the water system.

Matched to the work itself in the network, the project also includes those necessary to restore stability to the land that the blanket (reconstruction and concreting), which is part of the retaining wall of the Gorgos River and has been in precariousness for over a decade since that the flood of 2007 caused the first landslides.

From this moment, every flood of the Gorgos has worsened the state of the wall. In fact, a section has even been cut to traffic for years and has never been repaired by the Júcar Hydrographic Confederation.

The tender, published on the public sector contracting platform, is open to offers until February 24. The work will have an execution period of two months.
