Amjasa network renews saladar by 278.673 euros

16 2014 April - 16: 00

The municipal water company of Jávea, Amjasa, has made an investment of 278.673 euros in renewing the network of the Saladar area and whose works have already been completed.

The company considered this work as a priority for several reasons within its investment plan. In the first place, due to the low altitude of the Saladar, the water is transported at a high pressure to reach the 65 meters elevation to which the Portitxol driving station is located. In second place, this factor is joined by the age of the pipes that were installed at the beginning of the 70 years as well as the earth movements due to the public works carried out. The sum of these factors was the one that in the last years caused that in the zone numerous bursting and breakdowns were provoked.

Amjasa conducted the work while the construction of the roundabout began

In the last quarter of last year construction began on a roundabout at the junction of the Tosalet entrance and the Costa Nova highway subsidized by the Diputación de Alicante. It was then when Amjasa, taking advantage of these works, began to work to replace 1.124 meters of pipe and other sections of main derivation of the pipeline to the nearby urbanizations. The municipal company has also followed the instructions of the Department of Public Works and Water and has prepared the junction of the developments, El Rodat and Tosalet, to the municipal sewerage network.

Josep Lluís Henarejos, CEO of Amjasa, has stated that the company is expected to carry out another action immediately in the main network of the south of the municipality as it is necessary to drive the water from the Adsubia-Cabanes lift. For its part, the Mayor of Jávea, José Chulvi, has highlighted the great effort and coordination of Amjasa for carrying out these works in winter to cause the least possible inconvenience to the residents of the area.
