The municipal water company of Xàbia, Amjasa, has commemorated the WWD with an educational and awareness activities aimed at young people.
Two people from the company, the technical engineer Pascual Ladrón de Guevara and the biologist Tere Bou, have been this morning at the Numero 1 institute offering a talk to the students in which they have been told about the energy cost of the production and distribution of the drinking water. Also, they have been informed of the system that Amjasa uses to supply the 27.000 subscribers that it has in Xàbia.
The presentation was aimed at young people to learn that water is a precious commodity not to be wasted because it is limited and management has a cost to the environment.
The mayor and president of the public company, José ChulviHas been in charge of presenting the conference and called on young people to raise awareness in their homes to good use is made of water.
