The association Amics the Museu address next week in its cycle "Wednesday Curios”The evolution of commercial fishing in Jávea from Roman times to the present. The talk, scheduled for Wednesday May 20 at 19:30 p.m. in the Soler Blasco museum, will be in charge of Amadeu Ros, fisherman and in love with the sea.

Harbor boats Jávea

Ros will share their knowledge of fishing boats, their gear and their networks as part of maritime heritage. It will illustrate the talk with the know-how and fishing methods that have evolved over time and what fish will have been caught at different times. The talk will be in Valencian and Castilian with English subtitles and, as usual, then there will be a drink and an informal chat.

AMUX brings together people of all nationalities with an active interest in history and archeology of Javea and the Marina Alta. In addition to supporting the museum's activities, organize lectures and excursions for members.
