13 March 2019 - 12: 29

The Jávea 678, the hardest ultradistance test that takes place in Xàbia in just 15 days is already taking shape and last preparations. The Triple Ironman has authentic athletes that will be able to support the almost 60 hours of this solidarity comxicotetion, the Non-Stop Jávea 678 Ultratriathlón, in favor of Mini Refugio Neus.

Today Xàbia.com talk to the athlete, Aaron Reza Lozoya, an athlete who shows that life goes on and everything is possible. Aaron was national champion of athletics in 800 meters and obtained podiums in the 400 smooth meters in the juvenile junior category, as well as player of the Third professional football division with the team of Chihuahua Leones, but in 2011 a car accident by circulating at 180 kilometers / hour left him quadriplegic. "When I had my accident I thought the worst, but as time went by and I had a positive and clear attitude, with the help of family and friends I realized that everything can be achieved and I also want to have a great life story to motivate Many people", explains Reza, who for two years returned to the sports world participating in ultradistance competing in Ultraman 515 in Fresnillo Zacatecas, in the edition of 2017 and 2018 and also in the Ironman in Cozumel 2017.

"César and Hugo, unconditional support"

His participation in the Ultramax 515 of 2018 in Zacatecas, Mexico, takes him to meet the Spanish, Hugo Lafuente, with whom he will participate in the Jávea 678 teaming with César Guilbert; "César and Hugo are also great warriors and huge people, I feel very fortunate to have met them but above all their unconditional support for me."

Guilbert, is another of the people who show to be examples of life. In the 2015 he had the opportunity to donate a kidney to an unknown girl and from there he wanted to prove to himself that he could go on with a normal life, so at the 2 months of the operation he participated in the Sprint Triathlon of Parra , Chihuahua, the 6 months in the IRONMAN 70.3 Monterrey and the 10 months competed in an open waters of 10 kilometers from Cancun to Isla Mujeres.

Aarón and César join in 2017 in the IRONMAN 70.3 Cozumel, in the ULTRAMX 515K and in more than 20 races of different distances 10K and 21K. Now, united and with the support of Hugo, they face the Non-Stop Jávea 678 Ultratriathlón. "This test was faced with great enthusiasm but also with great respect, because I know it will not be easy, but with the support of my entire team and with all the people behind us I know that we will be victorious about this "says Aaron.

"I will cross the finish line by my own foot"

Reza Lozoya adds that she is aware that there will be moments "In that we want to stop, but fortunately we have many people who will be encouraging us to reach the goal and with the added achievement that I will do it walking on my own foot, with the exoskeleton that will be provided by me from the NIPACE Foundation, thanks to Hugo's work to make this possible. "

To face this test, which will be a total of 678 km between swimming, bike and race, you need physical and mental training, Aaron spends about two hours a day training, "I go to the sports gym adapted here in Chihuahua, they are pulley exercises, and especially many stretches and mobilizations so that the body does not atrophy, I also place myself on the standing table to improve the calcium in the bones and the flow of the blood, and of course it is much more mental training than the physical one because we know that living with a disability every day is not easy and you have to train a lot in that aspect and above all always see the positive things. "

Our protagonist today, with this example of overcoming and demonstrating that if you like, you can, send a message to all the people who think that things can not be done, "I feel very fortunate that people see me as an example and so they can be motivated that things can always be achieved when you want it. I, after my accident, my life has not yet been easy. Two years later my mother died of cancer and my father missed last year, they have been very hard blows for me, but I have, I don't know if it's a super power or I don't know, but I always see the good and positive side to life.
