800 people participate in the 'X Cursa de la Dona' 2018

Another year, the Cursa de la Dona The Xàbia athletics track and its route are very successful. A tide of women dressed in orange have made the journey of this non-comxicotetive race held on the occasion of Women's Day. A total of 800 participants, among whom were also men, have claimed the rights of equality and have collaborated, in solidarity, with two associations.

And is that, as usual, year after year, the money collected by the inscriptions is donated to two county associations. On this occasion, the amount for each of them has been 1875 euros; that they have been destined to Incliva (Institute of sanitary Research specialized in treatments for the cancer) and to Ludai (Association regional that works with children with special needs).

This Study is organized by the Department of Equality next to the Athletics Club Llebeig Xàbia. In this act, the Mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi, Councilor for Sports, Vicent Colomer and the Councilor for Equality, Montse Villaverde.

After the arrival of all the participants to the finish line, both the runners and the walkers, trophies have been awarded to women over 50 years who have arrived in the first three positions, to the three senior category, as well as to the oldest woman registered and the youngest. Also, dozens of participants have won the raffled prizes thanks to the contribution of local businesses.

Both before the start of the tenth Cursa and after the march there was a Zumba class to encourage all the participants. The Colla Xirimitab's and musicians from the Center Artístic Musical cheered during the tour.
