700 companies and more than 1000 requests in the first hours of the Tourist Pass

Turisme Comunitat Valenciana has activated the Viatgem CV program this Tuesday at 12 noon, which will distribute the Valencian Community Travel Voucher, with 70% discounts for traveling through the Region and with a total of 700 member companies.

Said companies are from travel agencies, hotels, blocks or groups of tourist apartments, campsites, rural houses, hostels and companies that manage houses for tourist use, all of them registered in the Valencian Community Tourism Registry.

For the regional secretary of Tourism, Francesc Colomer, "This figure responds to a great acceptance and reception by the sector of the Valencian Community, which hopes that this program will help to alleviate the economic and social consequences generated by COVID-19, encouraging tourist consumption and helping to prolong the activity and the job".

In this show "We have tried to package proposals of all kinds, the interesting thing is that the overnight stay is combined with the complementary offer, which includes culture, gastronomy, active tourism, among others", has added.

1.000 requests in the first hour

The program registration platform bonoviajecv.gva.es, active for citizens as of this Tuesday, has received 600 xicotetions per minute and the system is limited to prevent it from collapsing.

It should be noted that the system continues to function and gradually access and processing of all requests will be enabled. In fact, during the first hour of operation of the platform 1.193 people have registered.

From Turisme it is recalled that the vouchers have not been exhausted and that they can be requested until December 31, 2021, depending on the period of time in which you want to travel. This program is endowed with a total of 14,3 million euros.

The regional secretary of Tourism asks "patience to the citizens who today want to acquire their voucher", and has pointed out that "Due to the dynamics and the expectation generated, the platform may lead to momentary stoppages, which will be solved throughout the day."

According to Colomer "Since its activation at 12 noon, the volume of requests has been high at the same time, a symptom of the great reception and success of the initiative, so it is recommended to wait and try to access throughout the day."

Registration

Natural persons who, being of legal age, are registered in a municipality of the Valencian Community and enroll in the program will be able to benefit from this aid. Each individual may only request one grant for each of the three periods of the program.

The registration of the applicant will be done electronically through the web platform. The inscription may also be made by the applicant directly or through the tourist accommodation establishments or travel agency adhered to the Viatgem Comunitat Valenciana program and, for this, the electronic signature will be needed and a responsible declaration must be completed ensuring that the requirements of legal age and registration.

The voucher can be spent on a reservation to travel in 3 different periods:

Between October 20 and December 31, 2020

Between January 1 and March 24, 2021

· Between October 13 and December 31, 2021.

It should be noted that only one CV Travel Voucher may be used per person in each period and, depending on the period in which you want to travel, you must request the voucher within a specified period, not before.

The registration deadlines are:

· To travel between October and December 2020, the voucher is requested between October 20 and December 20.

· To travel between January and March, it is requested between January 1 and March 19, 2021.

· To travel between October and December 2021, the request must be made between October 13 and December 20 of next year.

Exchange of the Tourist Voucher

Once the registration is made, the applicant will receive the corresponding voucher with a code, which must be exchanged when making the reservation at the travel agency or directly at the hotel establishment. Although you can travel on the date you want, within the three indicated periods, the reservation must be made within a week after the request because the code expires after 7 days.

Likewise, it is necessary that the reservation includes at least two nights of accommodation. If, in addition to accommodation, the restaurant service is also reserved, a maximum of half-board can be rewarded.

Accession of tourist accommodation and travel agencies

The adhesion of the companies to the Viatgem CV program will be carried out electronically through the web platform bonoviajecv.gva.es, and may be requested during the entire term of the program.

The requirements that they must meet tourist accommodation are:

Minimum stay of two consecutive days in the same accommodation attached to the program

Other Services provided directly, which may include:

- Maintenance, which must be a maximum of half board

Others services provided with own means of the establishment: health and wellness service, sports services, excursions and entertainment activities, as well as parking

The requirements of the Travel agencies are:

· In addition to the services provided for accommodation establishments, the minimum stay of two consecutive days is a service that must be included.

· Other services provided during the days of the stay, in accordance with the definition of tourist activities and services contained in the Tourism, Leisure and Hospitality Law.

Budget allocation and amount of aid

The maximum global amount of aid to be granted is 14.300.000 euros, of which 4.300.000 will correspond to financial year 2020 and the rest, up to 10.000.000 to financial year 2021.

The amount of the aid will be 70% of the tourist services subject to the aid, including VAT, up to a maximum of 600 euros per aid granted.

The amount granted will be deducted from the beneficiary in the invoice corresponding to the services that are the subject of the same, by the tourist accommodation establishments and travel agencies. Once the service has been provided and the corresponding justification has been presented, the aid will be paid to tourist accommodation establishments and travel agencies.
