The Spanish Agency of Consumption, Food Safety and Nutrition has reported that a group of 39 people have suffered food poisoning after having consumed in a hotel in Xàbia, Galician cooked mussels of the brand Polar Star. The product has been distributed in the Valencian Community and Navarre and is being withdrawn from the market.

The product data, according to the Agency, "The name of the product on the label is half shell super mussel; the brand, Polar Star; and the lot, the 010DOP-18". The preferred consumption date is 1 / 2020 and the manufacturing date 19 / 01 / 18. As a precautionary measure, those who may have the product mentioned in their homes are recommended to refrain from consuming it.

The patients evolve favorably, according to the Agency, while the Ministry of Health Valencia does not rule out the emergence of new cases in the coming days. Only two people required hospital care and both have received medical discharge.

The Agency learned of these facts on Wednesday, when it received a notification from the health authorities of the Valencian Community about a toxinfection, a disease caused by a contaminated food due to the toxins produced by certain microorganisms.

And what do you say the mussels brand, please, tell me the name of the hotel.
    Thank you very much

Francisco, I have been told the name of the hotel, but being just a rumor, I do not want to give it, since it does not seem ethical without official confirmation. And I think the fault is not the hotel, whatever it may be, but the company that distributed the mussels.
