This request has had the approval of both administrations (Generalitat and Diputación) so that before next summer arrives, Xàbia will be able to have a fire department checkpoint thus providing more security and at the same time, being able to carry out a faster action in case of an emergency.

The mayor of Xàbia has indicated that the creation of a checkpoint in Xàbia is necessary, "the municipality has a lot of green and leafy areas". Chulvi added that although this summer has been good by not registering large fires, it is necessary to have this service closer.

The first mayor has made reference to the southern area of Xàbia, which is far from the parks of Dénia and Benissa due to the need for their services.

Due to this fact, the City Council plans to locate the future checkpoint in this area of Xàbia (southern area).

Both the provincial deputy and the secretary of Emergencies have agreed that the municipality has some peculiarities that advise reinforcing the devices, "once the location of the checkpoint is communicated by the City Council, everything will be put into operation to equip it with troops and open its doors before summer 2022 ”, Sendra has indicated.

The meeting was also attended by the Councilor for Citizen Protection of Dénia, Javier Scotto, and the Provincial Deputy for the Marina Alta, Óscar Mengual.
