Xàbia joins the World Cleaning Day
On September 17, World Cleanup Day is celebrated. Since 2018, millions of people around the world have been gathering on this day to face the global crisis and ensure that the planet is free of waste.
If all humans respected the environment from day to day, perhaps this large-scale action should not take place. But given the need, on September 17, thousands of cities will join the global call and clean their public spaces of waste.
In Xàbia, there will be nine places where this cleaning day will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The meeting points will be:
- La Plana Recreational Area
- Yacht Club
- Grava beach
- First Muntanyar Beach
- Cala Blanca (Guillermo Pons roundabout)
- Portitxol beach
- Granadella Beach
- Camí Sortetes (next to the bridge)
- Course of the river (Molí disco parking lot)

People interested in collaborating and participating in this day by cleaning the dirt from beaches, parks, forests and rivers can register, until September 15, at use this form or send your questions through the email servicios@ajxabia.org or by phone at 96 579 05 00.
The main objective of this action is that all the garbage generated does not end up in the oceans, where more than 80% of our waste usually ends up.
The conference organized in Xàbia is promoted by the City Council with the collaboration of Tetma Simetría, Let's do it! Spain, The ISBJORN Collective, Rotary Club of Jávea, Xàbia net among tots, Jávea we love you clean, Protecció Civil Xàbia, CEX, Creu Roja Xàbia and Club Náutico Jávea.
