Xàbia will give the starting signal to the "V Circuit de Aigües Obertes de la Marina Alta". The first of the five tests will be held next Sunday 16 July in the waters of the Bay of Xàbia, the "VIII Crossing of swimming to Xàbia".

As in previous editions, three tests will be held; one of a length of 4.500 meters that will have its exit in the area of ​​La Caleta. The arrival will be at La Grava beach.

Another crossing will have departure in the Montañar area, arriving at La Grava Beach. The distance that participants will have to swim is 1.500 meters. This will be the scoring test for the Circuit.

The third of the tests will be developed on a circuit of 500 meters long on the same beach of La Grava.

The Councilor for Sports, Vicent Colomer, advanced in the presentation of this event, that the 150 seats that are reserved for those who compete throughout the Circuit are covered. For those interested in making any of the three Xàbia crossings independently they can formalize their registration on the website of Somesport.

Colomer thanked the effort they make, the Jávea Yacht Club, Red Cross, Canoeing Club, Xàbia Hiking Center, Llebeig Xàbia Athletics Club and Maremoto, since without them it would be impossible to organize this test.
200 swimmers will be expected to participate with the support of 3 divers and 22 boats.
